Journal

Looking back- and looking ahead. posted Aug 5th 2008, 8:19AM
Grey here. It has been quite some time since I've posted here in sheezyart. To be honest I kinda forget how it feels somewhat. Looking past at all the past bits of work, art, interest, and affairs, it is interesting to see how much my and Jk's work has changed.
For one, I no longer go by Grey, but I'll get to it later.
For another, I am no longer as much of an "emo pansy" I was at the start of this project. (My mate said that about me, so those are her words.) It definitely was an interesting look back on the stuff we have done and the things we have said.
We started GaDa, Jk and myself, as an attempt at entertainment(from what I can remember. It has been Somewhat close to 4 years since we started, and to be quite honest, I can't be arsed to remember how it all began for sure.)
We got a lot out of it. At least I know I did. GaDa was a project that wound up changing the direction of my life, even after it's unofficial disband back in 05'.
You probably wish to hear of what happened exactly? Well I feel some things should be left unsaid (for once), but I can tell you what happened after the disband. Jk and I went our different ways, trying new things, studying new things, pressing on through high school. We met several times later to chat, mess around, play games, and start up a band or two (The band Insult #981 never got started btw). We even reformed GaDa temporarily under a new name, Boredom's Muse.(Which I am hoping we resume.)
Oh right I should wrap this up, seeing as You probably don't want to be bored half to death reading one of my old rants. We have both graduated High school and are on our way to different schools (Yet again, ) I am learning C++ to help drive future projects into more interesting and enjoyable directions (Assuming we do start up once more) and to get off my lazy arse and move away from the spotlight for once(I don't feel I have contributed enough to GaDa.)

Yes, this all translates to GaDa is no more. It's sorta official now I guess. Before I turn it over to Jk to say his bit, I will say the following:

I PLAN ON CHECKING BACK TO SHEEZYART LATER TO SEE ANY COMMENTS OR MESSAGE PEOPLE DECIDE TO LEAVE, SO LEAVE A MESSAGE IF YOU WISH TO BE UPDATED ON FUTURE WORKS OF OURS! (What we have so far may be mostly undone, but I feel it is better quality, and I have also started to help more... slowly...)

Okay, as "Grey" stated before me, it's been a while, not that I was ever the journal poster on GaDa. Either way, it's over now but I will say a few things about the project; what it meant, what I felt it was for, and such. Of course, it was more of a group than a project, yet in a sense it was some attempt at teamwork and development as a whole. As such, it's had profound effects on both our lives as "Grey" emphasized. For me, it was an open opportunity to develop scripting while not having to plan everything myself. It was a practice in creation, all the games and Flash toys. Also, I can't not mention it was a good chance to just hang out with a friend and do various things. The project was a great escape and outlet for creative flow and expression. I must give GaDa credit for other things too, however. Though I no longer participate in any, it introduced me to art sites and places for me to explore and contribute to my artistic evolution. The sites and GaDa in turn, and more importantly, led my long-time girlfriend to me.

GaDa is just another name being taken up, and thrown aside. "Grey" and I were once c_a_j4u, a site for simple (and rather unfunny) comics and games. Then of course there's the GaDa you see here, which is now nothing more than a name. It matured from c_a_j a little, with increasingly complex Flash Games. The most current alias though, would be Boredom's Muse. This further takes it up a step with even bigger game projects, and as I have taken up guitar, music projects as well. Our future plans look even further, as "Grey" will be learning C++ to open up many doors that were closed to us before.

I will conclude it at that. It's been a pleasure but eventually we have to move on, and Boredom's Muse will continue to be our next step for the time being.
